Announcing Azure Week!

With the help of several other Azureshippers, I am happy to announce the first-ever

Azure Week!

What’s Azure Week?

It’s a weeklong celebration of all things Azureshipping, from September 16 – 22, 2018 (and hopefully every year on those dates)!

The theme for this first Azure Week is “renewal,” and we’re voting on daily themes now! Cast your vote on what themes you’d like to be featured as part of Azure Week 2018, and then help create Azureshipping works that fit those themes!

Works? What sort of works?

Anything you can think of! Fanart, fanfiction, comics, cosplay photos, dolls, essays, mood boards, fan soundtracks or fanmixes, anime music videos, meta analyses, headcanons, plot bunnies…

Where should I post these works?

Post wherever you’re comfortable sharing. But a few recommendations are:

If you post your works elsewhere, let me know in the comments so I can add it to this list, especially if there are other Azureshipping works there!

Don’t forget to tag your works with #azureweek or #azureweek2018 and #azureshipping so fellow fans can find them!

Comments? Questions? Let me know!

The following icons and avatars are available for use on journaling sites, forums, and as profile images provided you give the original artist credit! They are not for use in videos, slideshows, montages, banners, etc. unless explicit written permission is obtained from the original icon artist(s).

Below, how to credit an artist on a journaling site. Many other sites that allow you to have multiple user pictures (userpics or avatars) will look similar:

In the ‘Keywords’ box, put whatever you like to help you remember what the icon shows.

In the ‘Comment’ field, credit the artist. The above artist has a LiveJournal, so I used LiveJournal code (LJ-code) to link to her journal. If you are using a LiveJournal users’ icons on a non-LiveJournal site, instead type the link to their journal like so:

where ‘username’ is the artist’s journal username. If an artist does not have a journal username, their website link will be provided here, and you should link using that. It’s helpful if you include the artist’s name, like so:

Icon By Cerulean-san @ Website.com.

Note: if you are given the option to pick your avatar from a location on the web, DO NOT USE IT! Please right-click and save these icons to your own hard-drive!
Anyone caught hotlinking will be blacklisted and the images removed from our servers!

A good way of remembering the artist’s username is to save the file like so:

So for the above icon, the filename might be:

Keep in mind that some usernames have underscores or dashes in the front, but filenames won’t allow for that, so the username should be put at the “back” of the filename. As long as your keywords are clear, you shouldn’t have any problems mixing the two halves
of the filename up.

When in doubt, leave the filename as it is on the BEA server. Don’t change the default name when you click “Save As…” I’ve already saved them using the above format, so the artist name and keywords are already included.

If you’d like your icons here, then email me the icons in a COMPRESSED ZIP FILE (unless you have less than 10). It doesn’t matter what size (in pixels) the icons are, but you should try keeping them under 40KB in size for use on most sites. You should give them an icon name similar to the above, or else I might rename them before uploading them to the site. Be sure to include a link to where you want your credit given (e.g. a website, an icon journal, etc). YOU MAY ONLY SUBMIT YOUR OWN ICONS. Don’t try and submit icons made by someone else. If you made the icon, but the art is from someone else, be sure to give the artist’s name and a link to their site/journal as well! We want everyone to get credit for their hard work!

About this Page

Links last updated Jul 16, 2018 @ 3:29 pm!

Obviously, we can’t host music files here without getting in loads of trouble, but what we can do is link you to iTunes, a great resource for inexpensive songs! You need an account to purchase music, but it’s quick and easy to setup if you’ve never done it before. The stores linked with our buttons are for the United States store, but if you’re in another country, the link should redirect you to the content in your country, if available.

Some tracks from are not available as single digital downloads for some iTunes songs (they may be available exclusively through Apple Music).

Please note that these are affiliate links, and if you happen to purchase from either of the stores, we will get a slight commission that helps us keep the Seventh Star Network of sites up and running, ad-free!

Why do you no longer have Amazon links?

Unlike iTunes/Apple, Amazon only allows people with pretty huge, consistent traffic numbers access to their affiliate “Associates” program. Since this is an ad-free fan site, it doesn’t get huge traffic like some bloggers, and so they rejected Blue Eyes and Apricots from the program. ;_; I’m sorry.

If you have an iTunes account, please help keep BEA ad-free by purchasing songs through your iTunes Music Store using the links here!

How are the compilations on this page organized?

  • Fanmix – a collection of songs that relate to a particular character or pairing. Usually, the songs deal with one or both individuals and their relationship with one another, as opposed to any specific incidences or events.
  • Fan soundtrack (FST) – a collection of songs that is meant to go along with a sequence of events, such as the episodes of the show or the chapters of a fanfiction.

Music playlists are organized like so:

  • Numerical order, as established by whoever compiled the fanmix or fan
soundtrack. This order is more important for fan soundtracks than it is for
  • Song Title (Artist name; Album title) Link to iTunes
    ♫ “Excerpt of song lyrics
  • Please note, not all songs are available at online stores as individual songs (or at all). Sometimes you can find them if you purchase an entire album, especially if it’s a remix from a single or a song created for a movie soundtrack. Email us and we can help you locate the song elsewhere!

  • The song “It Is You (I Have Loved)” has been covered by numerous artists, some of whom even include “(from the film ‘Shrek’)” in their song title. However, the one on this fanmix is the original one from the Shrek Original Movie Soundtrack, performed by Dana Glover. Note that there is also a Score from the movie, but that CD does not include this song.
  • We included two versions of the popular song “More Than Words” because
each version is popular and has a different feeling or quality to it. The lyrics, however, are the same in each version.
  • The iTunes link to “The One That Got Away” is the from the New Zealand store; unfortunately, I was unable to locate the song on the U.S. Store. Let me know if you can find it! If you’d like the original version, email me and I can help you locate it.

“Sight Through Sky-Eyes” by Geniusgirl; The Original

This fan soundtrack was meant to be a “5-disc collector’s edition,” but only the first two discs were ever released (from what I could find). Geniusgirl; The Original’s notes on the music are as follows:

Songs on this FST are taken from a wide range of sources; their application is largely lyric based, save for a few that are more usable for atmosphere. Genres range from hardcore rap to film ambient new age, languages range from English to Japanese to Hindi. Think of it as a world music sampler and give what you don’t know a try. You never know what you might like.

Anime Music Videos

You’d be pretty hard-pressed to find a decent amount of Seto x Anzu footage in the Yu-Gi-Oh animated series, but there are talented Azureshippers out there who know where to look– and how to put it all together in the form of an anime music video!

How It Works

This page includes a Playlist of Azureshipping AMVs hosted on YouTube. Expect this to constantly grow and change; videos might occasionally get deleted, while others will be added. I generally only add videos to the playlist if they properly give credit to any fanartists whose art is used (or better yet, videos that don’t use fanart at all)!

For these embedded AMVs, you should see a play button– just click to watch! If you like them, be sure to go to YouTube and rate and/or comment on them!

Note: if for some reason, you CAN’T see the player, you might need to download a plug-in, allow ActiveX or Flash, or disable any extensions/add-ons you may have, such as Firefox’s NoScript. Additionally, any AMVs created using special codecs will say so, and you’ll need to have them installed on your computer play the videos back. (This is rare.)

As of right now, BEA plays host to one AMV that isn’t currently available on YouTube; Our Song by Rizha. It’s in WMV (Windows Media Video) format, which means you can’t autoplay it from our website, but you can download it and play it with most standard video players (Windows Media Player, VLC, WinAMP, etc.) Additional details about the video, such as duration, download size, etc. appear after the video itself.

If you’re confused, have any questions, or just want to submit an AMV, then please drop me a line!

An Azureshipping Playlist

The below playlist is a constantly-updated YouTube playlist from my YouTube Channel. Sometimes videos get removed from YouTube, or some AMVs are not uploaded there, so don’t rely on this channel as the end-all source of Azureshipping AMVs!

Hosted Here

Our Song, by Rizha (Song by M2M) – WMV – 3:57 – 2.67 MB – It’s more like a slideshow than a real AMV, but the song works very well with Seto and Anzu, and the images fit, too!

Anime Music Videos.org

Another great resource for AMVs is, of course, AnimeMusicVideos.org. Here are some Azureshipping AMVs that you can download from that site:

Missing AMVs

Do you know where these missing AMVs are? Drop me a line where they can be found/downloaded online so I can provide links to them here!

Tips for making a good Seto x Anzu AMV

  • DO NOT USE FANART. It usually looks out of place, and if you don’t credit (by naming the artist and giving a link to where their art can be found), it’s theft. By the way, this applies to icons, banners, and anything else that was manipulated by someone
else. If you don’t know the name of the artist or where you got it, don’t use it!
  • Try to use video clips, rather than still images. While you can make a “musical slideshow” that looks good, often the best anime music videos are the ones that are, well… animated.
  • Don’t have an overly-long intro or outro. These are the parts of your video that introduce yourself and the video’s title/artist, and then close the video off by giving credits. For example, in an intro, you might say “Seto x Anzu AMV by YourName Here.”
It doesn’t need to be long, complicated, have its own separate music track, etc. In the outro, you’d have your end credits, “Song Title by So-and-So, featuring anime clips from Yu-Gi-Oh. Video made by Your Name Here.” You can also give thanks, mention the pairing is called “Azureshipping,” etc.
  • If you watch real music videos, you’ll notice there usually isn’t an intro at all, but information is given in the lower left-hand corner ( the title of the song, artist, album,
and record label). If you choose to do it this way (or present ANY typed information at all), make sure that any typed information is legible– don’t use glaring bright fonts like neon pink or lime green– they won’t look good no matter what your background is!
  • Get it out there! Make sure to upload it to YouTube, Vimeo, LiveVideo, Hulu, Veoh, and other streaming video sites. Also consider having it hosted online, and make a profile for yourself on AnimeMusicVideos.org! Don’t forget to drop us here
at BEA a link, too! If where you upload it is a streaming site (again, like YouTube), you can embed the video on other sites such as LiveJournal posts or, as we’ve done, on web pages. Just be sure that when you DO post the video, you post it in an appropriate place, and you give any information that you might have only included in your video information box (which won’t show up when you embed the video elsewhere).
